Handwritten letters are hands down, still better than all the fancy typed letters in the world. It has an old world feel and there's something so warm and wonderful about receiving and sending them out to friends, family and the people we love.

In this new day and age of texting, laptops and lightning speed internet connections, having the time to actually sit down, write, buy stamps and then mail it to the post office seems like a luxury.

So it was pure luck that I have stumbled upon an easy and creative project on how to organize and preserve all the precious mails you want to keep and here's to hoping that handwritten letters won't be a lost art.

What you'll need:

  • Postcards, letters and greeting cards (include the envelopes too)
  • Paperboard for the front and back cover
  • Hole puncher
  • Binder rings

Directions:

1. Cut the paperboard into the same size as the biggest envelope in your pile.
2. Hole punch all the cards, letters and envelopes and then arrange them by date.
3. Insert them onto the binder rings, secure the locks, label your letter collection et voila!

You can get more creative by mixing in some pictures, memorable tickets or gift tags too.
