Based on Wikipedia, an instant noodle is a precooked and usually dried noodle block, sold with flavoring powder and/or seasoning oil, usually in a separate packet; though in the case of cup noodles the flavoring is often loose in the cup.
Well, who am I kidding? In this modern time, nobody doesn't know what an instant noodle is. I bet everyone has eaten it at least once in their life time. An exaggeration, perhaps?
However, it can't be denied that most Koreans have a certain attachment to this quick meal. Why not? In the fast-paced city of Seoul, one doesn't always have the luxury to spend money to pay food on restaurants or precious time to cook their own elaborate meals. Who would say no to this ready-made and cheap sustenance?
