[Beauty] 3 Ways to Exfoliate

Exfoliation refers to the removal of the dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. A way to instantly smooth the skin by speeding up its renewal process which turns your complexion from dull and dry to bright and glowing. But the skin also needs its natural oils for moisture and to maintain balance so you must only exfoliate 2-3 times per week depending on your skin's sensitivity.

This can be done in two ways, the first one is mechanically, by using abrasive scrubs directly on the skin or chemically, by using scrubs that contain a special formula of acids that dissolve and then remove the dead skin cells without even scrubbing.

The best type of exfoliation varies per person. It will depend on your complexion and the health and sensitivity of your skin. If you happen to have severe acne or extremely sensitive skin, you must choose a method and exfoliating product really carefully.

Luckily, I have provided the top 3 ways to exfoliate:

1. Natural Bristled Brush

If you want to exfoliate outside of the shower, you use a natural bristled brush to make circular motions. Start from you legs and move slowly up your body, back and arms. Always brush in a circular motion before moving onto the next area. This method is also believed to reduce the appearance of cellulites by improving the skin's blood circulation.

2. Exfoliating Scrub

Commonly made with natural sponge and helps exfoliate the skin in the shower. Works best with your favorite bath gel but is not suggested for use on the face.

3. Exfoliating Scrub

A body or cleansing scrub is usually composed of sugar, salt, beads, pits or other natural exfoliating substances. Allow the warm shower water to run over your skin for a few minutes first before rubbing the scrub onto your moist skin in a circular motion then rinse well.
