Having hard times thinking how to get rid of your old track pants? Guess I have the best solution for you. Today, I'm going to show you how to transform an old, unflattering pair of track pants into a better, more stylish pair of pants. Please take note that you can also do this with sweatpants, so you have options!

Let's start now!

Use a pair of pants if you have them as a pattern, otherwise free hand it. Remember to make sure to leave about 1 inch for seam allowance.

Then use some ribbing for the bottom. Fold it in half and iron it flat. (Mine was about 8 inches and folded in half). Make sure also that the width is enough to fit around your calf plus 1 inch for seam allowance.

With right sides together, sew around the bottom edge. Leave about 1/2 inch over to sew the leg seam up. As you sew, make sure to pull the elastic ribbing so it fits all the way through. The folded edge should be the bottom of the pants.

It will look like this when finished (See image above)

Lastly, sew the inner seam up including the ribbing then cut any excess seam allowance.
