[Korean Wave] Personalities By Blood Type in Korea

During small talks with people who we want to acquaint ourselves, we usually ask about what they do, where they live, their hobbies, their interests, their birthdays and their zodiac signs. With the tidbits of information we get, we can sort of make out what kind of person he/she is and how you two will get along in the long run. 

In Korea, there is one vital detail that is worth knowing when assessing a person: their blood type.

As much as some of us believe in zodiac signs and how the person takes on the current state of the universe when they were born thus affecting their personalities, many Koreans believe that blood types are responsible for a person's temperament. Pretty mush like zodiac signs, blood types can determine our compatibility with other people and how we handle situations. 

Below are the personality traits that are a linked to the four blood types.

People born with blood type A are called the "Farmers" for some reason. They are conservative, introverted, reserved and patient. However, they can be self-conscious and uptight, causing them to be secretive and unable to share their feelings and to express their emotions well. They can be stubborn and obsessive sometimes.

But behind their walls, they are actually creative people with a sense of perfectionism. They are extremely loyal, considerate and romantic, always lost in their daydreams.

The polar of opposite of people with blood type A are people with blood type B. People with blood type B are said to be wild, passionate and active. Because of that, they are referred to as "Hunters" or "Nomads"". They are creative, optimistic and has a carefree attitude. They love animals and are passionate about people who are dear to them.

However, this carefree and independent attitude causes them to give little concern about what others think of them, causing them to appear irresponsible and self-centered. Their liberal and happy-go-lucky way of life may be seen as shallow or lazy. They can be impatient, letting go of goals before they are able to reach them. 

Men with blood type B have a negative reputation in Korea and are not considered good husband material. They are the ones who tend to be "players, selfish and unreliable. A lot of women are attracted to their bad boy image, though.

Type ABs are go-getters. If they want something done, they would find ways to accomplish it. They are gifted with strong concentration and focus. They have a broad range of interests and are said to be highly intelligent. They are super rational and critical; these are the type of people who are governed by their heads rather than their hearts. They handle finances really well. They make great leaders but they can be too authoritative. 

They are shy and aloof, preferring to be alone. Because they're unpredictable, others have a hard time trusting them and see them as two-faced. 

Natural leaders, people with blood type O are admired by their peers because of their outgoing, energetic, and optimistic traits. They can speak their minds with no trouble and can easily make friends. They are expressive, passionate, confident and ambitious and has a way of calling attention to themselves without even trying.

They thrive in the limelight which causes them to be too dramatic at times. This can be seen by others as arrogant, insensitive and vain. They are not the types who would leave someone in trouble behind.
