It's trick or treat month and with that, nail fashionistas should have their nails dressed up for the season. Here are some spooky nail arts that will surely compliment your costume and make you look trendy for any Halloween party.

Skull Nails

1. Select 5 different neon nail polish colors. For this example, violet, green, yellow, red and orange colors are used.

Note: You can use your own colors for this style. Just make sure that it is a neon nail polish.

2. Once the neon nail polish is dry, get your black lacquer nail polish and complete the skull on your nails. Draw 2 ovals on the base of your nails. It will serve as the eyes of your skull looking outward instead of looking at you.

3. Using a nail art striper brush, draw an inverted heart shape underneath the skull eyes that will serve as the nose. Also draw a long horizontal line with parallel vertical lines underneath the skull nose.

Note: You can use a toothpick as an alternative if you don't have a striper brush.

4. After a few minutes, apply a clear top coat on every nail to avoid smudging.

Zombie Nails

1. Gather lots of nail polish colors for this design. Zombie nails need to look nasty, dirty and bruised. Always include red, black, white, yellow and purple.

2. Paint a plain base coat and let it dry for a while. Consider using a single color for all your nails in this design. For this example, green is the color used.

3.  Create different designs for each and every nail. Be creative in making designs such as an eye, blood, stitches and mud. Apply a clear top coat once every nail is dry.

Note: Creating your own design is the key to this nail art so don't hold back!

Spider Web Nails

1. Choose 2 nail polish colors for this nail art. Don't be intimidated with the design -- spider web nails look difficult but using the right tools such as a toothpick will make everything easy.

2. Paint the base color and let it dry. Use a uniform color on all your nails so that it would look nice and neat when you're finished. For this nail art, we used a neon blue polish.

3. Create the web design by drawing circle waves on the nails -- it would look as if you're drawing a wavy ocean pattern.
