* Egyptians and Greeks were the first users of perfume. Archeologists found proofs of these liquids and according to them, these fragrances are 4000 years old. Wow!

* The first modern style perfume which involves blending oils and alcohol solutions was created in the year 1370. It was named "Hungary Water" and was given to Queen Elizabeth. Traditional perfumers can still purchase this perfume.

* The most commonly used flower essence used in perfumery are Rose and Jasmine. These two scents are the most girly -- maybe most of you already guessed this.

* The lightest and quickest perfume to evaporate are Colognes which have 5% of perfume essence. The most long lasting perfume of all are called "extracts" because they have 20 to 40 percent of perfume.

* Perfume are first intended to make you feel better! -- smelling good is only a by product. That's why scientific studies show that  scents and emotions are totally linked to each other.
