[Shoes] Beautify Your White Canvas Shoes

When we talk about "white canvas shoes", most of us think of simple shoes for a casual day. But if you'll try to be more creative, these shoes are blank canvases for your feet, waiting to be designed with cool and artistic ideas.

As the new year starts, finding new ways to upgrade your shoes is fun -- And today, I want to share to you guys an interesting way to decorate your white canvas shoes.

What you need:
• White canvas shoes (Slip ons or self-tie)
• White fabric paint
• Stationery (pencil,eraser,ruler,etc.)
• Acrylic paint
• Marker (A paint marker would do)
• Silicone spray
• Old Newspaper

STEP 1:

Before doing anything else, cover your workplace with old newspaper. Apply white fabric paint on your shoes. Using fabric paint would be a nice base for your paint to stick to. Make sure to apply it well on the important parts where your design should be placed.

STEP 2:

Start drawing your design on the shoes with a sharp pencil. For this guide, we drew citrus fruits.

STEP 3:

Once the sketch is completed, paint the design. Start painting like colors first, specially if your doing it symmetrically. Continue this process until you fill all the sketches with lovely colors. But don't celebrate yet! There are still lots of work to do. :)

STEP 4:

It's time to add more definition to the design by lining the objects with paint marker.

STEP 5:

As you glance on how beautiful your shoes look now, take your shoes outside and spray them with silicone spray to add some shine and waterproof them. Make sure to apply three coats of silicone spray.
